The winners of the spoga horse Award 2019
The spoga horse Award 2019 was once again a major attraction and a wonderful platform for companies who wanted to present their innovations and to a trade audience.
For the first time, there was an innovation pitch at which the manufacturers were able to present their submissions to the expert jury. The award ceremony took place on the last day of the fair and was one of the highlights for the exhibitors at spoga horse autumn 2019.
The winners of the best submissions were selected by an independent jury and the trade public in the categories Innovation and Sustainability.
The manufacturers with the most innovative products from the equestrian sport were chosen.
1st Prize: Albert Kerbl GmbH - Goleygo closure system
For the jury, the closure system itself is a real novelty that has never existed before. It has also proven itself well in practice and in initial tests. The closure is durable and allows safe opening - even under tension. This is innovative and practical.
2nd Prize: HKM Sports Equipment GmbH - Comfort Temperature
Riders freeze on cold days and this jacket is a remedy with the integrated power bench and heating elements. Even over a long period of four hours, it keeps the rider's kidneys warm.
Who has developed the best strategies for the increasingly important issue of sustainability?
1st Prize: GT Concept - Oak Saddle
The production of the cork saddle in Europe and the use of the renewable raw material cork are an interesting approach to sustainability. In addition, it is very light and visually appealing. However, the durability of the material has yet to be demonstrated in practice.
2nd Prize: Freejump - 100% Vegan: Freejump Cork Shoes and Chaps
Freejump Systems was awarded for its vegan riding shoes and chaps. Here, too, the renewable material cork and the attractive implementation are convincing. In addition, the demand for such materials is increasing on the part of customers. For the jury it is nevertheless desirable to further reduce the proportion of plastic.
