These are innovations that impress the equestrian sport industry: the TOP INNOVATIONS. For the third time already the focus of an independent and renowned jury lay on just under 50 of the most innovative products from twelve countries. Products of the companies Barnery GbR, Equestrian Technology, Joh's Stübben GmbH und Co KG., Röwer & Rüb GmbH, Suedwind Footwear – H+P Handels GmbH & Co. KG were distinguished. This year's winners bring relief, promote the health of the horse and rider and make the sport safer. Furthermore, a special prize in the Equine Professionals Favourite section was presented for the first time.
The six interdisciplinary judges nominated the 30 most innovative products awarding them the title PROOF OF INNOVATION. These entries included new approaches in the areas safety, health, digitalisation and sustainability. From among these 30 nominees, five products were selected as winners: the spoga horse TOP INNOVATIONS 2023.All of the nominees were showcased on the BOULEVARD OF INNOVATION (Boulevard, in front of Hall 7). The strong number of participants underlined the innovative power of the industry. At spoga horse, the products receive the necessary visibility and attention they deserve.
The following five products are the spoga horse TOP INNOVATIONS 2023:
Barnery, the magnetic bridle holder of the company Barnery GbR is not only safe for the horse, but thanks to the high-quality materials used and the fact that it is produced in Germany it is also incredibly durable. It has two strong magnets that ensure the bridle remains firmly in place.
Equestrian Harrow'Bot, the electric equestrian harrow (EHB) by the company Equestrian Technology harrows horses' training areas and thus does away with time-consuming work that would otherwise have to be carried out by a tractor.
FreeFlex Hybrid Tendon Boots, the brushing boots of the company Joh's Stübben GmbH & Co KG not only enable a safe protection against impact, but at the same time also free and natural movements without restriction. Furthermore, the horse's tendons and fetlock joints are anatomically protected due to the inner fleece lining.
R&AIR Care, the innovative system by Röwer & Rüb GmbH creates an ideal room climate by binding dust, cooling, minimising odour and regulating humidity. What's more, R&AIR Care reduces the number of insects in the stable in a natural way.
Suedwind CURVY AM, are riding boots by Suedwind Footwear - H+P Handels GmbH & Co. KG, which were designed especially for riders with especially wide calves. The patented construction enables a riding boot to be adapted to suit many different calf widths using exchangeable inserts.
Special prize awarded for the first time
A premiere: The special prize in the Equine Professionals Favourite section was presented to one of the 30 nominated companies for the first time. Hoofbeat, who have developed a mobile gait mapping system that monitors the well-being of the horse via data recognition, were delighted to win the award.
The award was presented by BARN NET, a partner of spoga horse. BARN.NET is a digital platform that creates several networking opportunities, which enable and sustainably strengthen the cooperation between companies and equine professionals.

Following the fantastic results of the third edition of the spoga horse TOP INNOVATIONS, the planning for the 2024 event has already started. The next physical and digital spoga horse is scheduled to take place as usual in February 2024 at the fair grounds in Cologne and once again in 2024 we will be asking: What are the spoga horse TOP INNOVATIONS 2024. Because the future always begins now.

Das sind Innovationen, die die Reitsportbranche begeistern: die TOP INNOVATIONS. Bereits zum dritten Mal standen in diesem Jahr knapp 50 innovativste Produkte aus zwölf Ländern im Fokus einer unabhängigen und namenhaften Jury. Ausgezeichnet wurden Produkte der Unternehmen Barnery GbR, Equestrian Technology, Joh's Stübben GmbH und Co KG., Röwer und Rüb GmbH, Suedwind Footwear – H+P Handels GmbH & Co. KG. Die diesjährigen Gewinner sorgen für Entlastung, Gesundheit für Pferd und Reiter und ermöglichen es, den Sport sicherer zu betreiben. Darüber hinaus wurde erstmalig der Sonderpreis im Bereich Equine Professionals Favorite verliehen.
Die sechs interdisziplinären Juroren nominierten die 30 innovativsten Produkte mit dem Titel PROOF OF INNOVATION. Hierunter befanden sich neue Lösungsansätze für Sicherheit, Gesundheit, Digitalisierung sowie Nachhaltigkeit. Aus diesen 30 Nominierten wurden fünf Produkte zu den Gewinnern gekürt: den spoga horse TOP INNOVATIONS 2023.Alle Nominierten wurden auf dem BOULEVARD OF INNOVATION (Boulevard, vor Halle 7) in Szene gesetzt. Anhand der starken Teilnehmeranzahl zeigte sich die Innovationskraft der Branche. Auf der spoga horse erhalten die Produkte die nötige Sichtbarkeit und Aufmerksamkeit, die sie verdient haben.

Barnery, der magnetische Zaumzeughalter von der Firma Barnery GbR ist nicht nur sicher für das Pferd, sondern dank seiner hochwertigen Materialien und der Produktion in Deutschland auch unglaublich langlebig. Er verfügt über zwei starke Magnete, mit denen das Zaumzeug sicher an Ort und Stelle bleibt.
Equestrian Harrow'bot, die elektrische Reitegge (EHB) von der Firma Equestrian Technology eggt die Trainingsfläche für Pferde und ersetzt damit zeitaufwendige Arbeit, die ansonsten mit dem Traktor verrichtet werden müsste.
FreeFlex Hybrid Tendon Boots, die Springmaschen der Firma Joh's Stübben GmbH und Co KG ermöglicht nicht nur einen sicheren Aufprallschutz, sondern gleichzeitig freie und natürliche Bewegungen, ohne Einschränkungen. Durch die Fleece-Innenseite werden Sehnen und Fesselgelenke des Pferdes zudem anatomisch geschützt.
R&AIR Care, das innovative System von Röwer und Rüb GmbH schafft ein optimales Raumklima durch Staubbindung, Kühlung, Geruchsminimierung und Feuchtigkeitsregulierung. Darüber hinaus reduziert R&AIR Care auch das Auftreten von Insekten im Stall auf natürliche Weise.
Suedwind CURVY AM, ist ein Reitstiefel von Suedwind Footwear – H+P Handels GmbH & Co. KG., der speziell für Reiter mit besonders kräftigen Waden konzipiert wurde. Die patentierte Konstruktion ermöglicht es, einen Reitstiefel durch austauschbare Einsätze an viele verschiedene Wadenbreiten anzupassen.
Erstmalige Vergabe des Sonderpreises
Eine Premiere: Der Sonderpreis im Bereich Equine Professionals Favorite wurde erstmalig an eines der 30 nominierten Unternehmen vergeben. Über die Auszeichnung freute sich Hoofbeat, die ein mobiles Gangsystem entwickelt haben, welches das Wohlergehen des Pferdes via Datenerkennung überwacht.

Die nächste physische wie auch digitale spoga horse wird wie gewohnt im Februar 2024 auf dem Kölner Messegelände stattfinden und auch 2024 heißt es wieder: Wer sind die spoga horse TOP INNOVATIONS 2024. Denn die Zukunft beginnt immer im Jetzt.
